The "Obere Freiberg" is intended as a residential area with small-scale building structures. Only residential buildings as detached and semi-detached houses are permitted. Approx. 10,000m², which corresponds to about 19% of the total area, are designated as public green space.

The area is fully developed and built-up (as of June 2014).
