Plan content
The plan area offers the prerequisites for moderate development in order to cover the need for additional state-subsidized and affordable housing in the city of Jena (demand from low-income population groups, reduction in occupancy commitments for social housing due to expiry of deadlines, etc.).
The development plan procedure creates building rights and controls orderly urban development. The development plan forms the basis for the development of the site and provides an urban planning framework. The aim is to achieve a compact design that makes effective use of both the potential of the conveniently located site and the necessary infrastructure, thus making a significant contribution to remedying the shortage of affordable housing in Jena. Wohnungsgenossenschaft "Carl Zeiss" eG is developing the new "Erlenhöfe" residential area as the project developer.
Realization status
