Plan content
The intention of the planning is to create an efficient, conveniently located and attractive commercial area for the regional center of Jena.
The developable areas of the planning area are designated as a commercial zone in which commercial enterprises of all kinds, warehouses and public enterprises as well as commercial, office and administrative buildings are permitted.
Dwellings for supervisory and on-call staff associated with commercial operations are only permitted as an exception, while accommodation establishments, facilities for sporting purposes, petrol stations and retail outlets are not permitted.
Realization status
The industrial estate has been developed and some of the areas have already been built on. The areas are marketed by JenA4 GmbH, a subsidiary of Technische Werke Jena GmbH and the city of Jena (June 2014).
