With the first amendment, the original development plan drawn up by the then independent municipality of Isserstedt was revised and concretized.

Plan content
The development plan area covers a total area of 25 ha. While the building areas in the west of the development plan area are designated as a commercial area, the building areas in the east are designated as a special area for large-scale retail. The special areas are currently occupied by a Globus supermarket including a DIY store (SO 1) and 2 furniture stores, Möbel Boss and Porta-Möbel (SO 2).
The commercial areas are predominantly used by smaller commercial enterprises. The amendment of the development plan with a total of 4 drafts submitted included the increase in the sales area for furniture from 11,500 m² to 22,500 m², the stipulation of green measures (compensatory measures), the increase in the sales area for the hypermarket (Globus), the adaptation of the plan to changes in the legal situation in the meantime and the clarification of stipulations.
Realization status
On 29.01.2025, the city council initiated a procedure for the 2nd amendment to the development plan; the planning has not yet been completed.
