Mayor also invites people to construction meetings in 2024

22.01.2024

Every building project brings with it many challenges and obligations. Not only the location, the money and your own ideas need to be clarified. Before the first sod can be turned, a number of steps must first be completed in accordance with German building law, whether for new builds or conversions.

"Various questions often arise in the course of the diverse approval procedures for a building project. I invite all citizens to come and talk to me about their concerns during my building consultation hour 'A word'," says Christian Gerlitz, Mayor and Head of Urban Development and Environment.

The first construction consultation took place on 05.08.2022 and will continue in 2024. For the individual appointments, please make an appointment at least four days in advance, preferably via the City of Jena website.

The issues to be discussed may relate exclusively to public law issues, i.e. planning and building regulations law or, for example, monument or nature conservation law. In the case of private law aspects, such as rental property relationships, other consultation options are required, for example through the tenants' association or a legal advisor.

If it is not possible to register via the website, appointments can also be made by email (bausprechstunde@jena.de) or by telephone (0049 3641 49 5000). In addition to providing personal details, it is necessary to describe the matter as briefly and precisely as possible.
