Plan content
The plan is for the construction of a new clinic for internal medicine at the Friedrich Schiller University Hospital. In the run-up to the planning, an urban planning ideas and realization competition was held, the results of which form the basis for the development plan. The planning objectives include
- urban planning, architectural and functional integration of the University Hospital special area into the urban context
- Centralization of all hospital functions
- Insertion of a green corridor as a link for a continuous east-west green corridor from Goethepark to the Erlanger Allee junction
- Increasing the attractiveness of the continuity of the area by creating new footpath and cycle path connections
In order to use land sparingly, the aim is to achieve a high level of building use and compact development on the developable areas. In return, larger areas of the adjoining natural spaces are not to be built on and are to be designed with greenery or left to develop.
